TU america ? TU is my escuela !

so this is my second week of classes...and im pretty much all settled in, although i cant tell you how to get to most buildings nor do i boston/somerville/medford like the back of my hand, i am acquainted with many/all of these things

i had to drop and add some classes...but as of now, and what looks like will be my classes for the remaining semester are: intro to sociology, african american music, expository writing, intermediate french, principles of economics

so far ... so good. havent done too much procrastination. although i find it hard to do especially on days like these, where i have an 805morning class, and then no class until 3pm...i can get a lot done, or a lot of sleeping/vidchatting/nytimes articles read during this time hah... or my personal fave-- shopping trips/outings to davis square and downtown boston (newberry street is fabulous, especially that area over there)...

i cant wait to post pictures & get a new camera ! boston is really beautiful, right now we have just entered fall season...the leaves are changing colors, the wind is picking up, and there is occasional rain (rainstorms named hannah haha)

i wont lie...i do miss home...the waking up past 130, lounging in my green room, with my white curtains pulled back, playing with mac-ie on my white sheets, my fashion wall, occasional pinkberry trips, outings to flea markets, urth cafe and american apparel. most of all i miss my friends. my friends were my family. while im close with my mom, and i get along with my uncles/aunts/grandparents/cousins,etc..my friends were the ones i went to in time of need, who were there for the smiles, frowns, tears, confusion, bad and good days, understood my weird noises and made-up words..i have a handful of friends who have seen all my emotions and dont feel the need to judge, and vice versa. i talk to most of them everyday, i miss them terribly..cant wait to be reunited via weekend trips/howard homecoming/thanksgiving/christmas break/spring break in miami (ashleyyy and i are set on leaving this damn campus to get some south beach sun!)

overall, im happy im here. im happy i chose here...while i won't know what it would have been like to be an undergrad at NYU -- an sometimes that makes me a teeny weeny bit sad, i know that my experiences here and my time here at TU (turnt up = TUFTS University) will be more than valuable, beneficial, and flat out wonderful.

here are a few pictures so far -- capen house party / roaming harvard square / fall ball
