ever see listen watch
read or say one little thing
that warms your heart
so that both sides of your
mouth instantly curl up
parting your two lips
to expose all 32 teeth
and maybe tongue too if you
happen to giggle or have a
heartfelt laugh escape ?

ever have that feeling
where one thing will keep
you smiling every single day
will make you forget about the
millions of pages of literature
that needs to be read and analyzed
it will help you forget about the ailing
the poverty
the abuse
the torture
the lies
the negativity in the world?

that one tiny second out of your
entire day comes to define your attitude
give reason to your joyful chipper
nature and keeps you at odds with
even the craziest fools ?

how about that instance where you
know the person who provided that
moment, had no intention of changing
your entire 24hour existence. they simply
were doing a kind gesture. and
through their innocence and thoughtfulness
i smile, with a burning sensation starting
in my heart and spreading all over

a daily low of 25degrees wouldnt even affect this
internal fire i have burning.


well i just had that moment.

and im not letting it go :)

i feel like...
when my highs are high.....they are REALLY HIGH
and then when my lows are low.....they are in the PITS, im talking
pits of fire, pits of "hell" (if you believe), pits of the soil ....
they are as low as low is defined.

but then there are the levels in between,
the gradation, the various steps that take me to
the high and to the low. and while theyre not amazing
they are merely defined by content

content. fine. good. well. okay.

those are the words i use.
because im either on my way up to soar with the birds,
and smile to my cheeks fall off and my eyes close up, and my
laugh originates from the depths of my abdomen walls
or
im heading down, down to be buried with ripe seeds to be planted
underneath the soil, underneath the surface, underneath
beneath and hidden from the visible eye - so that only i
exist, alone and contained and
d

w
n
.

happy tears

its funny how life happens,
how love comes and is realized
and overpowers the whole body -
the senses, the touches, the mind,
but most importantly the soul...
